The WTV series throttle controller increase throttle response by adjusting the signal sent to the vehicles ECU. In simple terms, the throttle controller eliminates throttle lag on your accelerator giving you more power, quicker.

What is throttle lag?

Most vehicles utilize a ‘drive-by-wire’ control system for the accelerator. This means that when pressure is applied to the accelerator pedal it is measured by a sensor which sends the signal to the engine, opening the throttle. The time taken to achieve this is the lag you feel when you accelerate.

How does it work?

The WTV series throttle controller sits between the sensor and the ECU, intercepting the signal to shorten and improve the response time. The throttle controller reduces the amount of pedal pressure required to achieve ‘wide open throttle’ allowing the driver to access the engines full potential.

Modes

Comfort Mode: In the lowest setting you will feel a gentle increase in throttle response. This mode is ideal for off road driving conditions.

Sport Mode: The throttle response will be more noticeable than comfort mode. This setting is perfect for touring or towing heavy loads.

Match Mode: The ultimate throttle response. As you accelerate, your vehicle will react instantly. This setting is great to use in all driving conditions.

AUTO Mode: An extremely smart function that learns your driving style. This mode will give you the perfect amount of response when you need it.

Economy Mode: In the lowest setting you will feel a gentle decrease in throttle response. This mode is ideal for off road driving conditions. On average, this mode will save fuel by 8%.

Installation

1. Turn the key off and wait 2 minutes before beginning installation.

2. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor.

3. Connect the plug of the throttle controller to the original connectors.

4. Secure the unit on your dash using the double-sided tape provided.

5. The vehicle is now ready to drive.
