When TCS (Traction Control System) or ESP (Electronic Stability Program) technology is applied to all vehicle models, in addition to braking the driving wheel, the throttle opening is controlled by the electronic throttle. Therefore, the electronic throttle control system ETCS must be installed.
The accelerator pedal position sensor transmits the information that the driver needs to accelerate or decelerate to the electronic throttle control unit. The control unit calculates the optimal throttle opening based on the information. The accelerator pedal position sensor constantly corrects the throttle opening to make the throttle opening meet the ideal opening required by the driver.
The electronic throttle control unit also communicates with the engine control unit and the automatic transmission control unit in order to accurately control the injection times, shift points, transmission main oil pressure, etc. Through ETCS, PCM can receive the data that the driver manipulates the accelerator pedal travel in the way of electronic signal, calculate the torque required by the driver according to these data, and then control the opening and closing of throttle according to the calculated torque. The electronic throttle system cancels the throttle cable, and the sensor provides the accelerator pedal position signal to the engine to improve the transmission efficiency and accuracy of the throttle control system.
